Hope for Nevaeh is dedicated to

DeAnn and Nevaeh

MEET DEANN

DeAnn is a 26-year-old single mother who was diagnosed with stage IV cancer at the age of 14. The illness was aggressive and the treatments were extremely painful.  Although prayers were answered when chemotherapy and radiation put her into remission in 2008, she was told she may never be able to conceive. By the grace of God, another miracle happened…

MEET NEVAEH

A beautiful miracle child was born in 2012! DeAnn named her daughter, Nevaeh, because she was heaven-sent. It soon became apparent, however, that something was seriously wrong with her health. At the tender age of 6 weeks old, Nevaeh was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder that affects the liver, heart, kidney and other systems of the body.  Her liver was not working properly, therefore, she had to undergo many surgeries to save her from death during her first year-and-a-half of life. Despite the surgeries, she continued to bleed internally and her liver failed. Her only hope for survival was a liver transplant. By a true miracle, a liver match was found and surgeons were flown in to perform the grueling 17-hour surgery. Although Nevaeh recovered from the transplant, she continues to have health issues. She is on many medications including immunosuppressive drugs so that her body does not reject the new liver. This means she gets sick extremely easy and is prone to complications throughout her life.

Thank you so much so reaching about Nevaeh's story!

God Bless
